This .EXE file shows how you can use PTE to show lined up then and now photos.

Then and now Photography - A truly unique way to see changes in time using two perfectly lined up
images, one old & one new.

The following presentation will allow you to see the view from the top of Derby Cathedral
in 1950 and then by clicking on a fade button it will show you the exact same scene as viewed in 2004.

I have gone to a lot of trouble to make sure that the two views have been very accurately lined up so
that any remaining buildings in the 54 years should fade into each other.

There are two fade buttons one for a slow fade between the two photos and a fast fade button.
The fading buttons alternate on each view so you do not need to move the mouse, just click again
in the same place to fade back and forth.

For those people who dont know Derby and were wondering, the large chimneys in the old photo
belong to the former Derby power station (built in 1893, demolished in 1972 and replaced by an
area of grass known as Cathedral Green)
Saint Pauls church built in 1849 can be seen on the far left along with the Chapel of St Marys on
the bridge built 1326. The road that you can see in the centre of the photo is Mansfield Road.
